Active in interdisciplinarity fields (leading media: photography, engraving, art book, video/animation, site-specific) and currently taking up the subject of ‘memories idea’ in artistic and post-artistic approach.

Agata Skupniewicz (b. 1990, polish/ based in Spain) – artist, photohrapher, with interdisciplinary, experimental approach and interest at the edge of documentary and artistic narrative. MA of art (spec. in multimedia graphics) at the University of Nicolaus Copernicus (Torun, Poland), currently PhD student at her alma mater, explores about the use of archives  in contemporary art . Witchin her artistic practice she addresses the 'idea of memories' (collective and individual, various forms of remembrance) particularly interested in the subjects like: sence of travel, home, identity, borders, flows, perception. In the ongoing projects she draws from archival sources related to Mallorca's cultural heritage from 50s.-70s., related to transformations of the island's territory, that occured with the 'mass tourism' development revealing the power of image and process of collective imagination's creation.
