Balthazar Blumberg is inspired by geological elements to create drawings and stories. He is particularly interested in the archival part of minerals and the infinite stories that these elements crystallize. He began his research in the field and in scientific collections to explore the relationship between human time and geological time.

Balthazar Blumberg (FR, 1993) is a visual artist based in Brussels. He has a Bachelor's degree in drawing from the Graphic Research School, during which he did an exchange at the University of Concordia in Montreal. He has developed his work between art and science during several residencies, notably at Iselp and at Neimënster Abbey in Luxembourg with the support of WBI. He has exhibited his work in a group show as part of the Rouge Cloître discovery prize, and in a solo show in Neimënster.
