Do Nascimento is a German composer, conductor and researcher. He holds his Bachelor and master’s degree in composition in the University of Music “Franz Liszt” in Germany and in the FHNW Basel.
Giordano won various prizes and scholarships, and his works were played in many festivals in different countries. Do Nascimento has composed and conducted his last seven operas which reached very positive press quotes in renowned magazines, like the hamburger NMZ – Neue Musikzeitung. After researching the importance of the human voice for Western society, especially in the 21st century, he has developed a concept in which the human voice functions as a fictional archive: The human voice as a carrier of information. The human voice as a carrier of fictions. For him, it is important to investigate the different meanings and functions of the human voice in our current society and to let the results of these investigations lead to new works.
