Juan focuses her research interests on a theoretical development of the links between mathematics and dance, and on the creation of an interdisciplinary point of view.
Colombian mathematician, scenic artist, writer and investigator. Studied mathematics in theNational University of Colombia, where he also began his formation as a scenic artist. His investigation is focused on creating a graphical and theoretical language, using math tools, for dance. This investigation project has been shared in different ways (congress, magazines and exhibitions) in Bogotá, Madrid, Argentina and Brussels. As an artist, he has worked with different choreographers, performers and dance companies. Additionally he won an award as "Best Male Performer" in the Regional Encounter of Contemporary Dance organized by ASCUN in 2015. As a writer, he has published a book ('Dudar y Contemplar' - Máquina Abierta, 2021), he was part of a poetical anthology ('De palabras a poesía. Antología Colectiva I' Asociación Literaria y Cultural de Yucatán – ALICY, 2021) and he has published some other poems and essays in magazines such as: Primera página, Iguales and minúscula, among others.
