The works exhibited here are the result of her research with inmates of Berkendael prison in Brussels, and in a Belgian psychiatric hospital where she visited a woman who was being interned while awaiting her euthanasia.
In both situations, the works result from exchanges about the gap between the rehabilitation keys proposed by society and the reality experienced by the various protagonists. She transforms the various archives and testimonies collected into plastic content to be presented.

Céline Cuvelier (born 1988, BE, lives and works in Brussels) is a visual artist. Through her artistic research, she is personally involved in a working and reciprocal relationship with people detained in prisons and refugees in camps, in order to confront the realities of those who live on the edge of our societies.
